State political scene is taking interesting turns by the day. Mega Star-turned politician Chiranjeevi who was initially close to the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana because of caste equations, has now become close to the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and is supporting his efforts for the replacement of Botsa. He has in this effort, the blessings of his daughter’s father-in-law L V Shiva Prasad.
Siva Prasad nominated to TTD board
It may be recalled that during the recent by-elections, Income Tax authorities had seized Rs. 35 crore, hidden in 35 boxes from Shiva Prasad’s house. It was then alleged that Chiranjeevi had hidden the money sent by Congress high command for election expenditure, in Shiva Prasad’s house. Interestingly Shiva Prasad was made a member of the TTD, ostensibly with the blessings of Kiran Kumar Reddy for the services rendered by him via Chiranjeevi. This is also seen as a reward by the CM to Chiru, for joining hands with him against Botsa.
Chiru complains to Sonia against Botsa
It is being said that during his recent meeting with the party chief Sonia Gandhi, Chiranjeevi gave an adverse report on Botsa. It is also learnt that Kiran Kumar Reddy also told Sonia Gandhi that he would redefine the administration by introducing more welfare schemes and bring Congress back to power in 2014, with the help of Chiranjeevi. He has reportedly asked the high command to give a strong leader for the party (replacing Botsa).
